What is a cookie?
A cookie is a block of text that a Web site sends to
your Internet browser (such as Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator).
To check orders on ALR's website, you must activate your cookie feature
in your browser. To turn on the cookie feature in your Internet browser,
we suggest you follow the steps in your browser's help section, options
or preferences selections now. Or you can just select a link below. |
Activating
Cookies in Internet Explorer 5.0
- Go to the "Tools" menu and select "Internet Options."
- Select the "Security" tab.
- In the "Security" section select the button that says
"Custom Level.
- Once you select this button, you'll be in the "Security Setting"
section.
- Scroll down to the "Cookies" section.
- To enable cookies, you may select "Always accept cookies" or
"Prompt before accepting cookies."
- Click OK.
Want more control over which sites get cookies? You can
control the who, why and when Web sites attempt to give you cookies by choosing
"Prompt before accepting cookies." This feature will send you a
message asking for your acceptance or disapproval when a Web site tries to send
a cookie to your browser. When this message appears, you can simply say
"yes" or "no" to accept or decline the Web site's cookie.
But remember, you must accept
the ALR cookie to sign in.

Activating Cookies in Internet Explorer 6.0
- Go to the "Tools" menu and select "Internet Options."
- Select the "Privacy" tab.
- The "Privacy" settings slider has six settings: Block All
Cookies , High, Medium High, Medium (default
level), Low, and Accept All Cookies.
- You may select any setting other than Block All Cookies
- Click OK.

- Go to the "Edit" menu and select "Preferences."
- Click Advanced (from the vertical list on the left hand side)
- Click to select the box labeled "Accept all cookies" or
"Accept only cookies that get sent back to the originating server"
AND "Warn me before accepting a cookie."
- Click OK.
